Corporate Law Chambers India

Established in 2004, by Late Mr. C Achuthan (former Presiding Officer of Securities Appellate Tribunal) along with Mr. A Y Srinivasan and Mr. Vinay Chauhan, the firm today consists of a well-knit group of capable and experienced lawyers. Our focus is on devising legal solutions to complex issues. Our aim is to maintain high standards of integrity and impart best professional services to the clients. We ensure that every client receives personalized service tailored to its requirement.

Our practice area includes advising clients on Company Law, Securities Law, Banking & Insurance Law, Foreign Exchange Management Law. We also represent our clients before various Courts/Tribunals/Regulatory Authorities/ Arbitrators etc.

We take pride in our long-standing client relationships. Our clients include Indian and overseas corporates and individuals, SEBI registered market intermediaries such as Brokerage houses, Investment banks, Mutual funds, Foreign Portfolio Investors.

Mr. Vinay Chauhan

Vinay has around 15 years of experience in securities litigation involving Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT). He regularly appears before SEBI and SAT in defending regulatory and disciplinary action by SEBI, and in various other corporate disputes before the National Company Law Tribunals, High Courts and the Supreme Court of India.

Vinay is one of the founding partners of CLCI. Before founding CLCI in 2004, Vinay was part of SEBI’s legal team, where he handled litigation’s on behalf of SEBI before SAT/High Court/Supreme Court and was also actively associated with several committees set up by SEBI. He has considerable exposure to securities market operations and securities market regulation and has been part of several high profile matters in SAT.

Vinay is a frequent speaker at various conferences and seminars pertaining to issues dealing with securities and capital markets. He regularly participates in events related to legal and compliance’s dealing with securities laws.

Mr. A.Y. Srinivasan

Mr. Srinivasan has more than 45 years of experience in dealing with matters relating to Company Law. He is also a member of Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He has held positions of Chief of Legal and Secretarial functions in listed companies. He has substantial experience in drafting and vetting specialized agreements/documents which include joint venture agreements between Indian Companies and overseas Companies, Development Agreements for real estate transactions etc. His area of practice includes carrying out Legal Due Diligence for various transactions such as IPOs, Rights Issue, Qualified Institutions Placement, and Investment by Venture Capital etc.
